This is a replacement filter pod package for compatible Kenmore Water Optimizers andDrinkpod water purification appliances (with EZ-twist swapping systems). Lifespan may vary based on water source quality. • Chemical Filter Pod: Filter uses a core of granular activated carbons to chemically reduce common disinfection byproducts (THMs), organic contaminants like chlorinated solvents, industrial pollutants, and pesticides. Rated for an average lifespan of 1900 gallons and/or 18 - 24 months. Lifespan may vary based on water source quality. • ULTRA Filter Pod: Filter utilizes submicron hollow fiber membranes to reduce suspended solids, bacteria, colloidal silica, pyrogens, and large organic molecules - passing only water and low molecular weight elements through the membrane’s fibers. Rated for an average lifespan of 1425 gallons and/or 12 - 18 months. Lifespan may vary based on water source quality. • Polishing Filter Pod: Filter utilizes an activated carbon block to improve your water's taste, smell, color, and overall safety. Also, chemically reduces common disinfection byproducts (THMs), organic contaminants like chlorinated solvents, industrial pollutants, and pesticides. Rated for an average lifespan of 950 gallons and/or 6 - 12 months. Lifespan may vary based on water source quality.
